I offer the following luthier services for acoustic and electric guitars. You can drop off your guitar at my workshop in South Austin and pick up and pay when I’m done. Reach out to me using the contact form here.

Re-String – $30 plus cost of strings

• Restring with your choice of strings. You may bring your own or I can provide for cost of strings.
• Clean and oil fingerboard
• Adjust truss rod if needed to achieve proper neck relief

Setup I – $70 plus cost of strings (if changing strings)

• Polish frets to mirror shine
• Clean and oil fingerboard
• Adjust truss rod if needed to achieve proper neck relief
• For acoustic guitars: File existing nut slots or file saddle as needed to achieve desired action
• For electric guitars: Adjust string saddles to achieve desired action
• Re-string guitar with new strings if provided or I can provide for cost of strings; otherwise will keep old strings

Setup II – $100 plus cost of strings (if changing strings)

• Everything listed in Setup I
• Level frets
• Re-crown frets

Carve new nut or saddle – $100 per piece

• Create new nut or saddle starting from a blank.
• Price is per piece and in addition to Setup I or Setup II

Repairs to structure – $60 / hour

• Repair cracks and gouges in any part of the guitar
• My dream is to restore your damaged guitar from an unplayably broken state to a playable state
• Provide a hand rubbed shellac finish to the repaired spot (optional)
• I will look at the guitar and provide a free estimate of the hours needed
